Newborn sessions at O’Hare Photography are designed to feel calm, unhurried, and supportive — so you don’t feel like you have to “perform” or know what you’re doing. You just show up with your baby. I’ll take it from there.

When Should I Book My
Newborn Session?
This part trips a lot of people up, because we never really KNOW when baby will arrive. Sometimes we have a date scheduled for a c-section or induction, but we can schedule our session without knowing any of that.
Newborn sessions are typically photographed within the first 7–14 days after birth, when babies are sleepiest and naturally curl up.
I recommend booking during your second or third trimester to make sure you have a spot on my calendar. Once your baby arrives or if you get a date scheduled, we’ll finalize your actual session date based on their arrival and your recovery.
I only schedule a limited number of newborn sessions each month — so its important to get a date on the calendar and we can tweak it as needed.

I’ve been photographing families for over 14 years, and newborn safety is never an afterthought.
I use gentle posing techniques, natural transitions, and a baby-led approach throughout the session. Parents are always close by, and we move at your baby’s pace — not the clock’s.
If your baby needs a break, we take one.
If something doesn’t feel right, we don’t force it.
Simple as that.

Your session fee covers the time, talent and tools of your photographer.
After your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can choose the images and products that best fit your family.
Professional print products and digital image options are available, including bundle options and a full gallery purchase.
All newborn sessions include a $35 credit that can be applied toward any image or product purchase.
